Why is it that the places where the motor car is the most inappropriate form of transport are completely clogged by them? For example, the average speed of traffic in London is no faster now than in the early 1900s. London has an underground system, a bus network that would be wonderful if use of the private car was restricted. We must concentrate on providing an adequate public transport system and proper facilities for cyclists and pedestrians.
